Summer Time

Summer Summer Summer Time

I am no longer a full time kindergarten teacher.  I had my last day of school last week and it was kind of sad to say good-buy.  I have loved teaching full time and am excited to be part time next year. Now that I have all day free… what do I do?  Well let me tell you.  I planned on taking the summer to get my nursery all together.  But being a first time Mom I was way too excited and once I started I didn’t stop.  I spent around 20 hours of sewing and around 5 hours of painting.  I could not find anything in the color teal I wanted to I have to paint or sew everything that color.  I am proud to say most of my nursery is hand made by me or local artist.  I am also proud to say my nursery came to a grand total of $70 (not including the dresser). Things are much cheaper if you buy them at yard sales and then fix them up yourself.
My favorite part is the mobile that I made.  It only took me 4 hours hahah sooo worth it right????? My other favorite part is my little rocking horse that I bought for only $3 and re-painted it.

I am getting a belly..
I must say that this baby has to be supper hyper.  Half of the time it feels like fireworks are going off in my belly.  And the other time I feels like I am a punching bag.  I don’t know if Bonnie likes me yet but I keep telling her that I am on her side and she needs to be nice to me.

My sweet sister Kjersti got me some cool crayons from Brazil so I just had to put them in the nursery… I already think Kjersti might be Bonnie’s favorite aunt.  And then I plan of putting a picture of Bonnie up but for now it is a picture of me as a baby.  Cody was a little jealous that I didn’t put a picture of him up.

Birds

We spent Sunday feeding the birds at the lake.  Cody got this sweet picture of me.  I was trying to look at the camera with out taking my eyes off the birds because they were being very aggressive if you can’t tell.  They would jump up on me and try to get the food.

Earrings
Well besides getting my nursery together I have been making earrings, earring and more earrings.  Last month was a very good month for my earrings so I had the job this week to make 200 pairs of earrings.  I am wondering when I will get tired of making earrings, but as for now I still love it.  This summer I plan on doing the farmers marker every week until my belly is too big

Birthing Class

Cody and I have also been taking birthing classes these last two weeks.  I have learned so much about birth.  But I have learned even more about Cody.  The idea of birth scares Cody like no tomorrow.  They would show us picture of the woman’s body parts or of birth and I would hear these weird noises come from Cody.  He kept making these weird faces like he was learning a whole new language.  Then came the birthing video, all the other husbands were watching taking mental notes…..not Cody.  He had his face turned away watching a B-ball game on his phone the whole time.  I asked him why he didn’t want to watch and he said, “You can’t come back for something like that”.  I have a feeling that Cody is not going to be much of a support to me during the birthing process to me.

  1. BAHAHAHA! "You can't come back for something like that." Hilarious! And yes, I agree with Cody birth is terribly frightening which is why I never want to get preggo cuz then I have to be the one giving birth.
